Changbai Mountain Travel Guide

Preparations

  • Documents
    • Bring valid identity documents such as ID cards, which will be used for ticket purchase, accommodation registration, etc.

      • Baihe Station is close to the north slope scenic area of Changbai Mountain, and Songjianghe Station is near the west slope scenic area. You can choose the appropriate station to get off according to your itinerary and then transfer to local vehicles to go to the scenic area.

  • North Slope Scenic Area
    • Tianchi of Changbai Mountain
      • It is the landmark scenic spot of Changbai Mountain, the largest volcanic lake in China and also the deepest alpine lake in the world. The water of Tianchi is clear, surrounded by sixteen peaks. It presents different sceneries under different weather conditions. Sometimes it is surrounded by clouds and mist like a fairyland, and sometimes it is as blue as a mirror under clear skies.
    • Changbai Waterfall
      • The water of Tianchi overflows from the gap between Tianwen Peak and Longmen Peak, forming the spectacular Changbai Waterfall. The waterfall is 68 meters high with rapid water flow and magnificent momentum. The Erdao Baihe River below the waterfall flows ceaselessly.
    • Julong Hot Spring Group
